About Us
Aexis Medical was founded in 2004 as a spin-off of Aexis BI, at a time when hospitals were becoming increasingly aware of the importance of their central sterilisation departments and the need for instrument traceability. Recognising this trend, Aexis Medical, in collaboration with several hospitals, developed its own traceability system, and quickly established a strong presence in the Healthcare sector.
Shortly after launching, the company’s focus expanded to include operating theatres, specifically targeting the logistics and operational processes of these complex to manage environments.
Over the years, Aexis Medical has continued to enhance its platform by developing additional modules, creating a unique combination of functionalities that have been widely adopted by hospitals. These advancements include solutions for OR, Central Sterilization Services, Emergency care and Endoscopy departments, as well as a versatile module that supports a wide range of medical-technical departments, bringing all data together on one platform.

Today, approximately 75% of Belgian hospitals use one or more Aexis Medical applications.
Beyond Belgium, Aexis Medical has successfully expanded its reach to international markets and is committed to further strengthening its presence abroad, while maintaining its strong foundation at home.

XLine empowers hospital departments—including operating theatres, endoscopy units, medical-technical services, logistics, CSSD, and many others—to define these workflows and guide their operational staff in executing them. The platform immediately alerts users when a deviation from the prescribed workflow is detected. Depending on the severity of the deviation, the system may require user confirmation, supervisor authorisation, or, in the case of critical errors, trigger a system lockout.
