AZ Alma - Aexis Medical

The AZ Alma hospital (Eeklo) has been a customer of the XLine systems (SteriLine, ORLine, EndoLine) since 2017.

We asked Marc Van der Weyde, care group manager of the hospital, to give his opinion on the collaboration with Aexis Medical and to list a number of reasons why AZ Alma works with our systems.

“The process that a patient who needs to undergo a procedure starts at the outpatient clinic: the patient is entered in ORLine, the pre-operative consultation is done from ORLine, the questionnaire (bingli) and the results of examinations are forwarded to anesthesia via Amaron. Everyone can see if the anesthetist has given his approval and whether the procedure can continue. In all care units, the status of the procedure is visible in ORLine and the family receives a text message as soon as the patient has returned to the room. Much unnecessary telephone traffic has stopped. Status can be monitored by everyone involved. Material is linked and preparation lists ensure that the consumption per procedure is known. This allows us to start discussions with doctors with the aim of standardizing matters. The applications we currently use are ideal for us. We can no longer live without them.”
